What is a user team?

Understand the purpose and use cases for teams and user team assignments

🏅Teams in Trestle are groups which individual members can belong to who share a similar job function and will interact with vendors in a similar way.

You can think of teams like departments. The most common ones are:

  • Project Management
  • Estimating
  • Legal
  • Safety
  • Procurement
  • Quality

But you can create and customize them to best fit your needs.

  • The teams are used in make sure each team member has access to the correct set of review questions.
  • It is also used to ensure the right individuals are notified when a review request is sent out for a specific project or vendor.

Once the teams are set, it is best price not to delete them!

đź’ˇ It's best not to create more than 10 teams for your organization. Reviews are grouped and summarized by teams, so having too many will create very long review tables

You can view what team you belong to by going to My Profile in the Settings page.

If you are an Admin, you can also view and modify user team assignments in the User Management tab on the Settings page.

To view, simply place your cursor over the team section of the user you are interested in checking

Having a diverse set of teams contributing to vendor reviews allows your organization to have the clearest picture of how a vendor is actually impacting your projects.
